Preliminary results of the second day of the Metal-Expo'2024 exhibition

12,600 specialists from various industries visited the 30th anniversary exhibition Metal-Expo'2024 on the second day, 30th October. There was a high level of stand attendance and business activity. Without exaggeration - thousands of business negotiations were held, promising contracts were concluded: in particular, MMK and SOLLERS signed a memorandum of cooperation on localisation of stamping production of cars, KUMZ and the R.E. Alekseev Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau signed a memorandum of cooperation on localisation of stamping production of cars. R.E. Alekseev agreed on serial deliveries in 2025-2030 of rolled and press products for the production of passenger hydrofoils Valday and Meteor. At the stand of the Bardin Central Research Institute of Chermet. Negotiations were held with the Chinese company DDMET - a major producer of metallurgical equipment. The parties discussed issues of co-operation in engineering within the framework of various projects.

Metal-Expo'2024 hosted a meeting on the Interindustry Programme for the development of new types and improvement of the quality of steel products for the automotive industry under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. A roundtable discussion on the market for coated steels brought together the key processors of galvanised and painted rolled products. The round table on the introduction of new products and services in the production and application of steel products was a great success. A number of design companies and metal construction plants were in attendance at the round table discussion on the challenges facing the metal construction industry and potential solutions. A meeting of the Committee for Metallurgy and Heavy Engineering was convened. The Pipe Metallurgical Company presented certificates of official dealer status to its partners.
The day concluded with the presentation of the 'Metal-Vision' award to the winners of the video production contest, followed by a panel discussion on the development of video communications to promote the metallurgical industry and attract qualified personnel.
The exhibition will resume tomorrow, with new meetings scheduled and a series of informative and engaging business events planned. Discussions will centre on trade between China and Russia, as well as the supply of refractories to the metallurgical industry. The congress block will bring together thousands of speakers and participants, fostering knowledge exchange, idea generation, business practice sharing and networking opportunities.
