The organizing committee of the June complex of exhibitions “synchronized the clock”
On April 15, a meeting of the Organizing Committee of the exhibition of manufacturers of metal structures, products and their consumers SteelStructures’2025 and a complex of specialized exhibitions Metallurgy.Russia’2025, Litmash.Russia‘2025, Tubes.Russia’2025 was held. Heads of industry associations, unions and research centers of metallurgy, construction industry and mechanical engineering discussed the current situation in the metals market, the progress of preparations for the exhibitions and specified their business programs.
First, the participants of the Exhibition Organizing Committee got acquainted with the capabilities of the Timiryazev Centre, which was built literally in one year and put into operation at the end of last year. The total exposition area is 18 thousand square meters. Petrovo-Razumovskaya metro station is located not far from the complex, and it is also convenient to get here by car along Dmitrovskoye highway. The Vavilov hall will host the exhibition SteelStructures’2025, the Chayanov hall - Litmash.Russia’2025.
The meeting was chaired by Ivan Markov, Director of the Department of Metallurgy and Materials of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. He noted that, with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, a number of large-scale investment projects are currently being implemented in the country with a total investment of over 300 billion rubles. These projects are aimed at import substitution of a wide range of steel products from stainless and special steel grades, as well as corrosion-resistant steel products.The members of the Organising Committee then discussed the current situation in metallurgy, on the world markets and inside Russia. The speakers noted that currently all leading steel companies are seriously increasing their influence in the steel structures market. For instance, Severstal is developing steel-framed residential projects, while EVRAZ is strengthening its presence in the individual residential construction (IRC) sector, which is expected to account for 60 million square metres of the 120 million square metres to be delivered by 2024. There is significant potential in the standard projects sector for schools, hospitals and children's institutions in the field of steel-framed social infrastructure.
As part of the SteelStructures’2025 exhibition, a comprehensive programme of professional events will be held. These include all-Russian conferences on the latest trends in steel construction for 2025 and the reliability of machines and steel structures, as well as a roundtable discussion with manufacturers of galvanised and painted rolled products. The programme also includes conferences on e-commerce and marketplaces in the metal market, equipment and technologies for processing coated steel, a roundtable on modern bridge construction, the annual meeting of participants of the Steel Construction Development Association, as well as summarizing the results of the Power of Metal contest, which will determine the best solutions for the use of steel and aluminum in construction. The partners of these events will be the Ministry of Construction of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, leading industry research institutes and associations.
