Domestic Rolled Stock Output Grew in 1H2018

According to Rosstat, Russian steel companies produced 41.3 Mt of rolled stock in January – August 2018 (2.8% more as compared to the corresponding period of 2017). In August as compared to July the output dropped 3.6%, (-1.6% on a year-on-year basis).

Pig iron output in January-August reached 34.8Mt (+ 0.8% as compared to the corresponding period of 2017). In August as compared to July the pig iron output dropped 3.9%, (-1.3% on a year-on-year basis).

Russian tubes producers manufactured 8.2Mt of tubular products over the last 8 months 2018, (+6.8% % on a year-on-year basis). In August 2018 tubes output dropped 7.2% on a year-on-year basis.
