How service metal centers support the development of russian industry

In recent years, the Russian metal processing market has shown steady growth, largely driven by the need for technological sovereignty, active import substitution, and the adoption of modern manufacturing technologies. Following the exit of several foreign suppliers, domestic enterprises faced the challenge not only of maintaining previous production levels but also of ensuring product competitiveness in response to rising demands from clients across diverse sectors — from automotive and heavy machinery to energy. Under these conditions, Service Steel Centers (SSC) and Metal Processing Centers (MPC) have become key players shaping both the pace and quality of growth across the industry.

Today, the sector is focused on technological renewal, the implementation of domestic solutions, and the customization of services. Digitalization and modernization of production facilities are accelerating output and improving quality, while also supporting the localization of manufacturing processes. Import substitution requires the development of in-house expertise and the search for Russian alternatives to foreign materials and technologies.

Next year, from June 2 to 4, the first Specialized Exhibition of Equipment and Technology Manufacturers and Suppliers for Service Metal Centers will take place at the Timiryazev Center in Moscow.
