Germany Outnumbers Italy in Number of Exhibitors

A big number of German and Italian steel companies exhibit at Metal-Expo every year. This year at Metal-Expo’2018 the German exposition will exhibit 39 leading engineering companies among them: SMS group, Wepuko Pahnke, Bohler-Uddeholm, ТМТ, КМЕ, Glama, Lechler, Terex Deutschland, Kito Europe and many more. The Italian exposition will be represented by 30 steel industry equipment manufacturers among them Danieli, L.D.M., BM Group, Hydromec, Miwenti, Olimpia 80, Gasparini, GIVA, MAIR Research, FIMI Group etc.

Among other European industries Germany and Italy are most active in the Russian steel products and engineering markets.

VTZ introduces new technology to improve stainless steel production efficiency

Volzhsky Pipe Plant, a branch of Pipe Metallurgical Company, has introduced a new technology to improve the efficiency of stainless steel production. The innovation helps to recover greater quantities of high-value alloying elements from scrap metal and to utilise raw materials more efficiently. Thanks to the new technology, it has become possible to more effectively recover residual chromium, nickel and molybdenum from high-alloy scrap. The number of "flushing" heats required to clean the furnace and steel casting ladles has also been reduced. The new scheme reduces ferroalloy consumption and improves the profitability of stainless steel rolled products output, as noted by TMK.
