France to Exhibit Steel and Scrap Processing Equipment at Metal-Expo’2019

France, among other EU economies is a regular Metal-Expo exhibitor.

This year the French exposition at Metal-Expo’2019, the 25th International Industrial Exhibition (November 12-15, Hall 75, VDNHa, Moscow, Russia) will exhibit equipment for steel and scrap processing:

ARDEN EQUIPMENT will exhibit mechanical and hydraulic attachments for reloading machines, excavators and hydraulic cranes. The range of products also includes hydraulic scrap shears for cutting metal, rails and sheet metal, various sorting grabs and scrap grabs for metal etc.

COPEX, a leading supplier of high performance equipment for scrap and metals will exhibit static, semi-mobile and mobile scrap shears (from 500t to 1700t cutting force), car balers and loggers for scrap and non-ferrous metals etc.

SERAM S.A. will exhibit cranes and conveyors for scrap yards.

Vernet Behringer will offer a wide range of production lines for structural steel fabrication including punching, drilling, sawing, shearing, marking, plasma cutting etc.

W Abrasives will exhibit cast steel shots and steel grits.

The total of more than 530 companies from 34 world countries will attend Metal-Expo’2019, while more than 30k steel industry professionals from all over the world are expected to visit the event.

VTZ introduces new technology to improve stainless steel production efficiency

Volzhsky Pipe Plant, a branch of Pipe Metallurgical Company, has introduced a new technology to improve the efficiency of stainless steel production. The innovation helps to recover greater quantities of high-value alloying elements from scrap metal and to utilise raw materials more efficiently. Thanks to the new technology, it has become possible to more effectively recover residual chromium, nickel and molybdenum from high-alloy scrap. The number of "flushing" heats required to clean the furnace and steel casting ladles has also been reduced. The new scheme reduces ferroalloy consumption and improves the profitability of stainless steel rolled products output, as noted by TMK.
