Mechel Supplies Steel for Belaya River Bridge
Mechel Group's metal trading company Mechel Service, a Metal-Expo regular exhibitor, supplied 3.2 thousand tonnes of rolled metal for the construction of a bridge across the Belaya River.
Mechel Group's metal trading company Mechel Service supplied 3.2 thousand tonnes of rolled metal for the construction of a bridge across the Belaya River in Ufa. All work on the construction of the bridge piers was completed in full. Today, the facility is assembling, assembling, welding the superstructures with subsequent sliding towards the city to the right bank. For the construction of the bridge, Mechel Service supplied more than 3.2 thousand tons of rolled metal to the construction site including beams, fittings, as well as ordinary sheets and structural shapes produced by the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant of Mechel Group.
The bridge is located in the alignment of Vorovskogo Street between two existing bridges and will solve the problem of traffic jams. One way traffic in the direction of Ufa-Airport in three lanes will be organized along the new bridge crossing with a length of 688 meters. The construction is included in the list of objects of the national project Safe and high quality highways. Construction began in 2019, and is expected to be fully completed at the end of 2021. When the new bridge is completed, the old one will be closed for reconstruction.
