‘Metal-Expo‘2024’ will be held from 29.10 to 01.11 in Expocentre, in pavilions 2, 5, 8 and Forum

In accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation No. 199-rp dated 01.07.24 ‘On Establishment of the National Centre Russia’ and transfer of the territory of Expocentre to the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization ‘Directorate of the Exhibition of Achievements “Russia”, we would like to inform you that starting from September 1, halls 3, 4 and 7 will not be used for exhibition activities, instead Expocentre JSC will provide pavilions 5 and Forum for Metal-Expo’2024.

The dates (29 October - 1 November 2024) and the previously agreed exposition in hall 2 and 8 remain unchanged.

At present, the Metal-Expo Directorate is starting to coordinate the transfer of the exposition from halls 3 and 7 to halls 5 and hall "Forum".

The 30th International Industrial Exhibition Metal-Expo'2024 will be held from 29 October to 1 November 2024 in pavilions 2, 5, 8 and Forum. It is expected that this year, despite the above changes, Metal-Expo will be attended by about 1,000 exhibiting companies, and the exhibition area is expected to increase by 25-30%.

VTZ introduces new technology to improve stainless steel production efficiency

Volzhsky Pipe Plant, a branch of Pipe Metallurgical Company, has introduced a new technology to improve the efficiency of stainless steel production. The innovation helps to recover greater quantities of high-value alloying elements from scrap metal and to utilise raw materials more efficiently. Thanks to the new technology, it has become possible to more effectively recover residual chromium, nickel and molybdenum from high-alloy scrap. The number of "flushing" heats required to clean the furnace and steel casting ladles has also been reduced. The new scheme reduces ferroalloy consumption and improves the profitability of stainless steel rolled products output, as noted by TMK.
