MMK-METIZ sets record in 2025, producing over 1,000 tonnes of galvanized ropes

In 2025, the Magnitogorsk Hardware and Calibration Plant MMK-METIZ achieved an absolute annual production record by manufacturing over 1,000 tonnes of galvanized steel ropes. This result exceeded the previous all-time high by more than 50%. The accomplishment was made possible through MMK-METIZ's systematic efforts to enhance the efficiency of technological processes related to galvanized rope production, the company reports.

The products are manufactured at a unique facility that also produces a wide range of other high-quality items, from galvanized high-carbon and spring wire to reinforcement and steel ropes. Over the past five years, the Wire, Spring and Rope Production Facility (PPK) has produced more than 83,000 tonnes of steel ropes, including over 3,500 tonnes of galvanized ones.

“The achieved result in galvanized rope production is a testament to colossal teamwork and the immense potential of our 500-strong team,” emphasized Rustam Basarev, head of the PPK. “Surpassing the 1,000-tonne mark was a challenge that demanded maximum dedication from everyone. This strengthens MMK-METIZ's position as one of the industry leaders.”

Magnitogorsk Hardware and Calibration Plant MMK-METIZ is one of Russia's largest enterprises in the hardware sector. Its products are used in key economic industries: mining, metallurgy, construction, shipbuilding, and industrial fishing. The high quality of MMK-METIZ products has been repeatedly confirmed by industry awards: in particular, it received a gold medal at the international industrial exhibition Metal-Expo'2025 for wire intended for spring manufacturing as part of the import substitution program.
