Russia Welcomes the Global Market

Participation of more than 220 international companies from 34 world countries makes Metal-Expo a true international event. Some exhibited machinery and equipment others offered Russian customers auxiliaries and final conversional products.

Among the international companies the CIS producers form one of the biggest expositions. Many of them have been in the Russian market since the Soviet Union times: Metinvest Group (Ukraine), Dneprospetsstal (Ukraine), Centravis (Urkaine), Byelorussian Steel Works, steel producers from Kazakhstan etc.

Despite successful implementation of import substitution program, the number of international companies at Metal-Expo is not reduced. Many international companies exhibited at Metal-Expo’2017 high-quality products the analogues of which are not yet found in the Russian market.

Many international exhibitors of Metal-Expo’2017 are positive about the Russian market environment and plan to expand their presence in Russia which may steepen the competition.

The innovation helps to recover greater quantities of high-value alloying elements from scrap metal and to utilise raw materials more efficiently. Thanks to the new technology, it has become possible to more effectively recover residual chromium, nickel and molybdenum from high-alloy scrap. The number of "flushing" heats required to clean the furnace and steel casting ladles has also been reduced. The new scheme reduces ferroalloy consumption and improves the profitability of stainless steel rolled products output, as noted by TMK.
