The programme for the conference Steel Structures: Key Trends 2026 is taking shape

From May 26 to 28, the exhibition of metal structures manufacturers, products and their consumers SteelStructures'2026 will be held in Moscow at Timiryazev Centre exhibition complex. As part of the business programme, on May 27 at 10:00, the 11th All-Russian Conference Steel Structures: Key Trends 2026 is scheduled, traditionally organised by the Metal Supply and Sales Magazine together with the Association for the Development of Steel Construction, TsNIISK named after Kucherenko, TsNIIPSK named after Melnikov, and other key market players in the metal structures sector.

The event will be moderated by Ivan Vedyakov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association for the Development of Steel Construction, Director of TsNIISK named after V.A. Kucherenko, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences (RAACS), Doctor of Engineering Sciences, and Sergei Maslennikov, Head of the Metal Structures Committee of the Russian Union of Metal Products Suppliers, member of Subcommittee 20 Steel Structures of Technical Committee 465 Construction, Candidate of Economic Sciences.

The conference will be opened by addresses from Andrei Savelyev, Deputy Director of the Department of Metallurgy and Materials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and Alexander Romanov, General Director of the information and publishing service Metal Supply and Sales Magazine. Key presentations will be delivered by Alexander Danilov, General Director of ARSS, Yuri Shurkalin, Deputy Director of the Federal Autonomous Institution Federal Centre for Standardisation of the Ministry of Construction of Russia, Natalya Silina, Executive Director of TsNIIPSK named after Melnikov, and other authoritative speakers.

Representatives of leading players in the steel construction market will also present papers on current topics. Dmitry Eremeev, Director for Market Demand Development at EVRAZ, will speak about the milestones on the path to achieving a leading position in the metal structures market. Dmitry Manakov, Director of Severstal Steel Solutions Group, will speak about the development of the company's own and partner network of steel structures plants. Given the participation of practitioners and real market players, the conference will have a scientific and practical character.

The following topics will be discussed at the conference: the use of steel structures in the world and in Russia; overcoming barriers to the development of steel construction; improving technical regulation mechanisms in the field of production and application of metal structures; prospects for the use of modern types of rolled metal products, items and structures in construction; key players in the steel structures market and equipment for their production.

As is traditional, the conference will bring together members of the professional community: heads and specialists of steel structures and construction metal products manufacturers, rolled metal suppliers, equipment distributors, representatives of design organisations and research institutes, and developers. Consumers of steel and aluminium products will also participate in the conference.
