Russian Rebars Market: Forecasts for 2017

The Russian rebars market showing high volatility during the last 1.5 years ended up with an unexpected price boost in the winter of 2016/2017. Lately the domestic market has been strongly influenced by the processes taking place in the global long products market. Thus, at the end of February – the beginning of March Russian producers could extend export of billets and rolled products due to a considerable drop in Chinese export. However, due to drop in prices for steel products and materials in China, local producers gradually regain their positions in the world market.

All this and much more is among the topics of Reinforced and Structural Steels: Market Trends, the 8th All-Russia Conference held on 6-7 April in Ekaterinburg by Metal Supply and Sales.

Among the delegates of the conference are leading Russian reinforced steels producers and traders as well as equipment suppliers. At the conference A. Rassokho, Deputy General Manager, Metal-Expo spoke on SteelStructures’2017 (5-8 June, Expocentre, Moscow) and Metal-Expo’2017 (14-17 November VDNkHa, Moscow) as efficient tools for steel products promoting and sales market expanding.

On the second day the delegates are visiting regional rebars and structural steels producers and processers including NLMK-Ural, NTMK (Evraz), and Central Steel Stockyard (Steel Industrial Company).
